At Hunkydory Home we’ve been making cushions and lampshades for customers since 2005, we love sourcing gorgeous fabrics to make them from.  All our cushions and lampshades are handmade to order by us here in Northumberland especially for you.

Lampshades:

Our lampshades are made by applying cotton fabric to a PVC backing and wrapping this around powder coated lampshade rings. 

Our lampshades are compatible with ceiling, table and floor lamp fittings and the large size can be adjusted to fit on to UK (25mm) or European (40mm) fittings.  Our small size (18cm diameter) is only suitable for UK lamp fittings.

The PVC backing is designed for lampshades and has passed the Glow-Wire Flammability Test BS EN 60695-2-1: 1996 (Fire Hazard Testing).

Diffuser – You can purchase a diffuser for our large 30cm shades.  A diffuser is a base for ceiling shades which will dim the light that escapes from the shade to give a subdued effect rather than a bright glare (so you don’t see the bulb from below). They are not essential, in fact you may prefer a brighter light, but some people prefer them.

Cushions:

Cushion Pads: You can choose from a fibre or feather cushion pad. The fibre pads contains a 100% polyester filling and comply with BS 5852 Part 2. Ignition Source 2.   The feather cushion pads contain duck feather.
