Week 3: My favourite finds March 10, 2015 13:40

Our main bedroom has had bare plaster on the walls since September, it seems we lost decorating momentum (and pennies) after finishing our living room and now the rest of the house is crying out to be renovated.  I have no shortage of ideas and now Spring is here I really want to get going again.  I love this Darjeeling bedding from Mini Moderns and once we do finally get going again, this is what I'm basing the bedroom around!

When we do start on the house again I've decided to paint the bathroom a rich navy blue to contrast with the plain white subway tiles that are already there.  I really like this rope bath mat that I've found on Etsy, I'm not sure I can justify £68 on a bath mat, but I have found a tutorial on YouTube on how to make them and I might have a go if I feel brave!

Always love a bit of Orla Kiely and for owls, I'm sure this Olly Owl mug will be finding its way into my kitchen before long!

With Mother's Day coming up family is at the forefront of my mind this week, I love this ISAK bread board fun for any kitchen and would make a lovely gift.

Finally, it's not homeware, I know but I had to share today's favourite discovery in my local town of Morpeth... a shop called The Pudding Parlour which is going to be dangerous for my waistline.  I bought Mr hunky a slice of key lime pie and a slice of cookie dough pie for me... they are sitting there in the fridge asking me to devour them.  If you're in the North East you must visit, they have stores in Hexham and Morpeth as well as a presence in Fenwicks.
