Week 9: My favourite finds May 20, 2015 13:32

I came across this lovely Umbrella Cats print by Bubble Gum Years on The Lost Lanes a lovely site selling works by all sorts of creative people. It's only £10.49 too so I might have to treat myself.

Perhaps I'm being optimistic, but it's May now and my thoughts are turning to summer and the idea of lazing in the garden reading a book. I've wanted a traditional style deckchair for ages and then I saw these in John Lewis the other day. You buy the sycamore frame and then choose a sling to go with it, I particularly like this Nordic Harbour design.

This set of Alice In Wonderland pencils by Pobble and Ping over on etsy is so cute. I love them, the bright colours and fun quotes just cheer me up, and at only £4.99 it's another opportunity to self gift this week!

Ooh, look what's coming soon to Magpie, a new range of retro mix and match homewares called The Modern Home - A-Z of the Atomic Era featuring some of the 20th Century's most iconinc home designs.

Finally, I've admired Olivia Brown's ceramic dog sculptures since I first saw them in the wonderful Fenwick Gallery in Warkworth a few months ago. Sadly they're a bit too pricey for me to treat myself, but maybe one day I'll be able to commission a sculpture of my poodle pup (if anyone sees Mr Hunky drop him a hint!).
